you can support that help either people involved in ice skating or help
people get involved.

Also remember that your figure
skating team or club may be tax exempt organization and they are always
in need of funds to keep the sport alive at your rink.
SABAH
Skating
Association for the Blind and Handicapped
This organization helps people with physical and mental handicaps enjoy
skating and gain confidence in themselves.
USFSA
Memorial Fund
This is a special
fund set up by the USFSA in memory of the top American Skaters who lost
their lives in a 1961 plane crash. That crash wiped out the top skaters
from the USA. This fund helps talented skaters who are struggling to
keep up in this financially demanding sport.
Washington
Special Hockey
Even though this
is not a figure skating organization, it helps people with physical
and mental disabilities learn to skate and play the gentile sport of
Hockey. They currently meet at the Gardens Ice House, and are looking
to expand to other rinks in the Washington Metro Area.
ISIA
Education Foundation
The Ice Skating
Institute of America Education Foundation was founded to enhance the
educational opportunities of ISI members by encouraging skaters to make
athletic as well as educational achievements. To achieve this goal,
the Trustees award scholarships with a $4,000 minimum value to ISI skaters
for study in universities, colleges, and technical schools throughout
the United States.
American
Amputee Hockey Association
The AAHA is a hockey
organization that promotes ice skating and specifically Hockey in the amputee
community. They host camps, support a national team and provide hope for
amputee adults, children and their families and friends.
